Microphone: Shure SM7B

Your recording sound is always limited by the quality of your microphone. Nothing in post production can'fix' a terrible sounding recording from rubbish equipment. This is the absolute best microphone available for podcasters, voice talent, broadcasters, YouTubers, etc.

Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is a required audio interface if you want to record to your Laptop or computer. - http://amzn.to/2sCPeY5

Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

This Focusrite audio interface is what I use in all my YouTube videos from my new office studio and my youtube live streams. This is GREAT for recording podcasts too especially if you want to connect with someone on Skype, Zencaster or Zoom for an interview and record both of you on your laptop or computer!

Rolls MiniMix2 if you want to record to a digital audio recording device- http://amzn.to/2sJkogA

You need some proper STUDIO headphones too...

Studio headphones have a solid back and sound deadening in them to help cut out any background or environment noise so you can get a crystal clear sound whether you are monitoring your levels during recording or editing during playback.

I'm a HUGE fan of Audio Technica headphones and I've got their more expensive $149 pair and the cheaper $49 version.  I honestly can't tell much difference between the sound so I recommend going with the less expensive ones here - https://amzn.to/3cEwzNI
