As I was listening to a podcast this morning, making my coffee watching the sunrise over the mountains...
Something clicked.
Honestly, I woke up early, feeling absolutely stoked that I get to hop in my office and create content today...
And as I sat down at my computer, I had to share this...
You see, I often talk about focusing your energy to build a business on your hobby or on what you love to do...
Finding a niche that you have an affinity for.
But the business side is most definitely not a hobby!
I have shared so many examples of successful online business owners in fun niches...
From RC airplanes, to horseback riding...
From photography to knitting...
Pickleball to Tarot...
The list is nearly endless

Ok, back to the hobby-story and my epiphany...
Each of these niches above are based on hobbies...
Things people do for fun.
You see, my friend who loves those RC planes and gets to fly them all the time, he loves that part...
But grinding out the video creation, capturing several cameras worth of footage, editing it together, dealing with post production, etc...
That is where the WORK comes in.
And this is where most people fall short!
My friends in New Zealand with the super successful fitness for dressage riding site...
She LOVES getting to ride her horse. That literally is her happy place!
But 98% of the time she is writing blog posts, researching new course plans, recording video lessons, handling customer support, creating and publishing to social media, creating new healthy recipes, writing sales letters, creating new ads, documenting everything, shoveling pony poo (literally), maybe not documenting that last part...
lol. Seriously...
They work harder than everyone I know who holds a 'real 9-5 job' no doubt!
And they earn hundreds of thousands of dollars more, too.
So it's worth it for them to treat it like a real business.
You may be thinking:
"Miles, what's the point?"
Ultimately this email is designed to do one of two things...
