So, let’s use a real-world example from my business…

Last month we launched a new test that received 910 clicks and generated 422 leads…

That’s a 46% opt-in rate which is below average, but it’s a good start.

In total, I spent $505.17 for these leads which is a Cost Per Lead (CPL) of $1.20.

Now…

From the 422 leads I generated 9 OTO sales that brought in $399 in revenue…

So, in short, I spent $505.17 and I got $399 back instantly.

Which means I'm out of pocket $106.17 for the 422 leads.

Obviously this isn't the goal, but it's totally normal when launching a new funnel...

This difference between what you spend on ads and what you make back instantly in revenue is what pro marketers refer to as “The Gap”

Rookie marketers, when they see these kinds of results, throw up their hands and say “this stuff doesn’t work”

Pro marketers, however, roll up their sleeves and begin testing and tweaking to close the gap.

Plus…

Pro marketers also know that there is a lifetime value of these leads and customers that will eventually close the gap.

For example...

From my main list I generally earn about $0.60 per subscriber, per month... Meaning, I'd clear the gap within with no other effort, whether it takes 7 days or 30 days to get my ad spend back

But I don’t like waiting 7 days or 30 days to get my ad spend back…

Because that limits the number of times I can cycle that ad spend through the system.

And it slows my list growth.

So the real trick to success online is all about closing the gap!

Which brings us to the natural next-question.

How do you go about closing the gap?

It's simple...

There are two ways.

The first way to close the gap is to improve your conversion rates by split testing.

For example, by testing my opt-in page to increase the conversion rate from 46% up to 65%, that funnel would have generated 591 leads for the same ad spend (instead of 422 leads)

Which means I'd expect 12 sales instead of 9 sales…

Which would result in $532.32 in revenue, instantly… Compared to my original spend of $505.17.

This creates an instant profit of $27.15 instead of leaving me out of pocket -$106.17.

Bingo!

That clears the gap!

Or, another option is to split test and increase my OTO conversion rate from 1% to 1.3%.

With this improvement I'd expect 12 sales (instead of 9 from my first test), and this one tweak would put this funnel in profit...

Effectively clearing the gap.

The second strategy you can use to close the gap is to increase the Average Order Value (AOV).

Generally, this is done with bump offers and upsells.

You’ve seen both of these…

Bump offers are the additional products you can advertise on your checkout page that simply require the user to check a box while they’re putting in their credit card info, to add more products to the order.

Upsells are displayed after you checkout, giving you the chance to add additional products to your order.

These are simple techniques that are often overlooked and they can make the biggest difference.

They only take a few minutes to create if you’ve got additional products you’ve created that your audience may like.

Using this approach, I’d have to increase my AOV (average order value) from $44.36 to $56.22 in order to bridge the gap.

Which I could do with a $97 upsell that gets as low as a 20% conversion rate... Which is much lower than my average of 30% conversions on upsells.

That would get me to clear the gap, too.

And this is ‘the game’ that I’ve been playing professionally since 2014…

The calls will be every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 am Pacific time for 1 hour. Thursdays will be a deep dive training on one component within the simple sales funnel to make sure you know exactly what needs to be built.

The Tuesday calls will be live office hours with Shaun and I where you can get your questions answered and get your 'work' from the previous week reviewed if needed.

Question #2 - Are the calls going to be recorded if I can’t make it?

Yes! Not only will you be able to get all the info if you can't make it, but you'll be able to watch the trainings multiple times to get all of the golden nuggets of information from them at your own pace.

Question #3 - Can I submit questions or funnel review requests if I’m not on the live calls?

Absolutely. I understand that there are some timezones that make the 9:30 am Pacific calls difficult to attend. But you still may want my expert help building, launching and optimizing your funnels...

You'll be able to submit your questions or your funnels for review in the community and Shaun will queue them up for the live calls for you... Then you can watch the recordings to get the insights and help you need to move forward.

Question #4 - What happens after the 8 weeks are over? Do I still keep access to the trainings & templates?
